Hi everyone! I’m Nichole and welcome to Bolt Action Goods. In 2023 I made 23 quilts, so fabric is literally flying off the bolt around here.

When I’m not sewing, I love spending time with Zach and our 3 pups, Halli (Dalmatian), Maggie (Chessie), and Caliber (Golden Doodle). I’m a firm believer in being kind and love making others smile, puns being my preferred method.

Thank you for sharing this journey with me! I’m sew excited to have you here!

I was introduced to quilting at early age at my Great Grandma Carpenter's house. I love to carry on the legacy she created quilting alongside my grandmas, mom, and brother. It’s ironic because even then, they had to remind me to slow the machine down.

I consider this my first quilt, the first one I made on my own. My Gma Nancy went to an auction and returned saying she saw someone throw away a featherweight in the dumpster after the sale. We returned that night, sorting through the dumpster at dark, using a detached table leg to sift through the assortment. We never found the featherweight, but we did come across a trash bag full of fabric remnants. I quickly latched onto them, laundered them at home, and turned them into what I now deem the trash can quilt.

Zach gifted me a Janome 3160 PG as an early birthday present in August 2022. She’s helped me piece 45 quilt tops so far and create countless projects. She’s made all the difference with extremely efficient and consistent stitches.

Thank you Zach for the sweet suprise!
